Neo: Neo means new. In Matrix, Neo is the man who is believed by the people as the chosen. He is the one who will save their future and will bring the new life for the people. Neo brings the people new hopes for human life so the meaning of the name is suitable with his role.With his arrival, he will bring something new to Zion that effect in the Zion people’s future.
Trinity: Trinity is adapted in Trinitarianism that the one God exists in three Persons and one substance, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Believe to Trinity then you will find the truth. The character of Trinity is also has the same philosophy with Trinitarianism. If you want to know the truths then believe to Trinity. Trinity is Neo’s guide in the Matrix world. She is the person who tells Neo about the real world. Trinity is the Truth messenger that is sent to Neo.
Morpheus is adapted from Greek mythology, Morpheus the God of Dream. In the trilogy of Matrix, Morpheus is the person who wakes Neo up from the dream world (the fake world). He is also the one who brings Neo to Matrix world so he knows the real life. In Matrix, Morpheus is a person who other people can rely on. That’s why He is really famous in Zion as a great leader and a bad mutineer for the agent.

well,actually i find difficulty to understand the story of this film... I have to watch this film twice and read the summarize before i am sure that I really understand about this film, This film is dominated with Greek Mythology, Morpheus, trinity are the example of the god's name in Greek mythology, Okay, i will not talk about morpheus and trinity, i just want to share ebout something else in this film, if we watch the western film like this movie, the characteristic of western film is always showing the high technology especially the domination of machines in our life 20-50 years later, We know that beside matrix, there are another films like transformers, resident evil that show the high technology. I can not imagine if the condition of our world will quite same with matrix... actually, matrix represent the worries of some people about the condition of our world next time, When the human being become the Dictaphone of machines, when the human is not real the human...

I have a comments about the matrix, that the characters of matrix are adapted from the Greek Mythology. The first, movie set up the humans are unknowingly trapped in the matrix, allowing the computers to utilize their bodies in the real world for energy. A key theme of the matrix story is that humans need to be saved from the confines of the computer controlled matrix. Those who discover that the world they take for granted is illusory thereby obtain a kind of salvation. I think this movie story is very interesting. Well, from what I understand about the matrix, Neo made a deal with the source that Neo would go into the matrix and destroy Smith. In return, the people of Zion would not only have peace, but would actually be freed into the higher world. Of course, it also means that Neo really is bringing the enlightened to the higher plane god. It also makes for a better ending, in my opinion.
Neo is the hero of the matrix trilogy and clearly the center piece of the story. He is the one whom the citizens put their hope in, he is treated as a savior by the citizens of zion. Neo is instead the representation of all humanity, as conceived and designed the source as a system control. As a program he never sleeps or has to. This is how he is able to have dream that envision the future, because his or her fate are already programmed to happen. Trinity is meant to guide Neo to the Source, so he can complete his designed mission. Trinity follows her purpose first by seeking Neo out in the Matrix. Trinity gets shot by an Agent and is ready to die, her purpose having been completed, but Neo makes the wrong choice to the door on the right, and she comes back to life in a kind of reboot. Her purpose once again to guide Neo to the Source, but this time she must do it in Zion. This last meeting with the source allows her to finally die, as a progam no longer with purpose. Trinity is like Eve guiding Neo to the apple. The fact that the character Trinity in the Matrix trilogy is not very different from other citizens of Zion should immediatelly dissociatethe movie character from the divine Trinity that Christians embrace.
Morpheus comes to the revelation that the one in which he has invested a life’s worth of faith is more another system of control invented by the architects of the Matrix. Morpheus the only human in the movies given any importance, is seen to have fooled. He is asleep, like all other humans, and as smart as he is, his humanity stil hinders his vision.

The Matrix is one of the greatest action movies written by Larry Wachowski, Andy Wachowski and published in 1999. It has special effects and the plot. The Matrix, a massive artificial intelligence system that has tapped into people's minds and created the illusion of a real world, while using their brains and bodies for energy, tossing them away like spent batteries when they're through. Morpheus, however, is convinced Neo is "The One" who can crack open The Matrix and bring his people to both physical and psychological freedom. I think the issue most people have with the Matrix is something quite familiar with: the plot. The plot of the Matrix is fantastic. That is because it is a fresh idea. The Matrix's plot is not a clone of anything. And the plot is incredibly deep, having multiple levels for every part in it. And the last, the acting is exactly suited to this movie. The people in this movie act exactly how their characters should. Keanu Reeves was cast because he acts the way he does on camera and absolutely handsome. It was perfect for the part. Best movie yeah!

Okay, i will not talk about morpheus and trinity, i just want to share ebout something else in this film,
if we watch the western film like this movie, the characteristic of western film is always showing the high technology especially the domination of machines in our life 20-50 years later,
We know that beside matrix, there are another films like transformers, resident evil that show the high technology.
I can not imagine if the condition of our world will quite same with matrix...

The Matrix character names:
1.Keanu Reeves as Neo: A computer programmer who moonlights as the hacker Neo, later to realize he is the One when trying to rescue Morpheus from the Agents.
2.Laurence Fishburne as Morhpeus: A human freed from the Matrix, captain of the Nebuchadnezzar. He is the one who finds Neo.
3.Carrie Anne Moss as Trinity: Freed by Morpheus, crewman of the Nebuchadnezzar and Neo's romantic interest.
The characters in this movie has a named of God in Greek myth. Like Morpheus named Greek God of dreams and sleep, and also Trinity is the named God of Christiany.

Especially with such a good looking and hot actor like Keanu Reeves!

I have a comments about the matrix, that the characters of matrix are adapted from the Greek Mythology. The first, movie set up the humans are unknowingly trapped in the matrix, allowing the computers to utilize their bodies in the real world for energy.
A key theme of the matrix story is that humans need to be saved from the confines of the computer controlled matrix. Those who discover that the world they take for granted is illusory thereby obtain a kind of salvation.
I think this movie story is very interesting. Well, from what I understand about the matrix, Neo made a deal with the source that Neo would go into the matrix and destroy Smith. In return, the people of Zion would not only have peace, but would actually be freed into the higher world. Of course, it also means that Neo really is bringing the enlightened to the higher plane god. It also makes for a better ending, in my opinion.
Neo is the hero of the matrix trilogy and clearly the center piece of the story.
He is the one whom the citizens put their hope in, he is treated as a savior by the citizens of zion. Neo is instead the representation of all humanity, as conceived and designed the source as a system control. As a program he never sleeps or has to. This is how he is able to have dream that envision the future, because his or her fate are already programmed to happen.
Trinity is meant to guide Neo to the Source, so he can complete his designed mission. Trinity follows her purpose first by seeking Neo out in the Matrix.
Trinity gets shot by an Agent and is ready to die, her purpose having been completed, but Neo makes the wrong choice to the door on the right, and she comes back to life in a kind of reboot. Her purpose once again to guide Neo to the Source, but this time she must do it in Zion. This last meeting with the source allows her to finally die, as a progam no longer with purpose. Trinity is like Eve guiding Neo to the apple.
The fact that the character Trinity in the Matrix trilogy is not very different from other citizens of Zion should immediatelly dissociatethe movie character from the divine Trinity that Christians embrace.
Morpheus comes to the revelation that the one in which he has invested a life’s worth of faith is more another system of control invented by the architects of the Matrix. Morpheus the only human in the movies given any importance, is seen to have fooled. He is asleep, like all other humans, and as smart as he is, his humanity stil hinders his vision.

In my opinion, this is one of the most important reasons grassroots people are still living in poverty in Canada today as I heard in global issues. I think that if grassroots people do not hold their leaders accountable for their actions and decisions - regardless of the consequences attached, poverty in Aboriginal communities will get worse while the "Aboriginal elite" will continue benefiting from the system.

This film was also so booming so that the sequels were also made.
Talking about local product, i just think about it's rival... Si Pitung! but, it is funny because of the differences between them: from the weapons, the clothes, and the era itself. Americans might be surprised seeing Si Pitung. They might think "how come Indonesia,that weak and dying country, can has a great hero without great weapons?". No matter how the questions are, it is back to a regret: If only Indonesians love Si Pitung as much as as they love The Matrix's Neo.

Without comparing it to our locals hero, it creates a mindset that being a hero means we must be handsome or beautiful, cool,and sexy, as can be seen from Neo and Trinity as two main characters of this film. The movie is related to the intellectual and mental of people. The Matrix would remain caught up in the dark side of the force, were it not for its mythical and religious sub themes, what people can imagine in the movie and feels like they are there.
I think the movie shows the power to pursue the audience to connect with the idea of the story itself. It means that what we believe in something then that’s going to be happened. The director is succeeded to perceive the entire world to be one in the movie provided. By supporting good technology, world fantasy, and the belief are becoming the main granted.
As a hero movie, the genre always pursuit by the good looking appearance. We can see there Keanu Reeves as the main character required in handsome and good physically. It also supports the movie itself. Last but no least, the matrix movie is the best movie I have ever seen.

The Matrix, a massive artificial intelligence system that has tapped into people's minds and created the illusion of a real world, while using their brains and bodies for energy, tossing them away like spent batteries when they're through. Morpheus, however, is convinced Neo is "The One" who can crack open The Matrix and bring his people to both physical and psychological freedom.
I think the issue most people have with the Matrix is something quite familiar with: the plot. The plot of the Matrix is fantastic. That is because it is a fresh idea. The Matrix's plot is not a clone of anything. And the plot is incredibly deep, having multiple levels for every part in it. And the last, the acting is exactly suited to this movie. The people in this movie act exactly how their characters should. Keanu Reeves was cast because he acts the way he does on camera and absolutely handsome. It was perfect for the part. Best movie yeah!
